Deployment Officer
Zanzibar, Tanzania
About the role
We're looking for a Deployment Officer who can help hospital teams get started with SUGEN and use it confidently in their daily work. This role combines practical problem-solving, user training, implementation coordination, and ongoing support. You will work directly with hospital staff and SUGEN's product and engineering teams to make deployments work in practice.
Responsibilities
- Understand hospital workflows: Work with clinical, administrative, and operational teams to document how they work and identify what they need from the system.
- Coordinate implementation: Help prepare each facility for deployment, track outstanding tasks, and communicate progress and blockers.
- Train users: Deliver practical demonstrations and training, support staff as they begin using the system, and create clear guidance for recurring questions.
- Support daily operations: Investigate reported issues, document reproducible examples, resolve problems within your scope, and escalate technical issues with useful context.
- Improve adoption: Follow up after launch, identify where users are struggling, and bring actionable feedback to the product and engineering teams.
Candidate profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You can explain unfamiliar software clearly and patiently to people with different levels of technical confidence.
- Good organisation and follow-through. You can manage several implementation tasks, maintain accurate records, and keep people informed.
- Confidence using software and investigating practical problems. You can distinguish a training question from a possible system issue and describe both clearly.
- Willingness to work directly with hospital teams and learn their clinical, administrative, and operational workflows.
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive information, supporting users, and deciding when an issue needs escalation.
Experience in hospital operations, health informatics, software implementation, customer support, or user training is welcome.
This role is based in Zanzibar, Tanzania. You will work directly with local hospital teams.
