Engineer

Ahmedabad, India

About the role

We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems, take ownership of their work, and can turn real hospital workflows into reliable software. You should be comfortable working across the product, learning unfamiliar systems, and using AI coding tools with independent technical judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Build product features: Turn requirements from hospital teams into working software, from implementation through testing and release.
  • Own engineering quality: Write clear code, review changes, and test how features behave under real operating conditions.
  • Investigate problems: Reproduce bugs, identify their causes, and fix them across interfaces, application logic, integrations, and data flows.
  • Use AI effectively: Give coding agents clear context, assess their output, and verify correctness before shipping.
  • Work with the team: Collaborate with engineering and deployment colleagues, explain technical decisions, and follow through on feedback from users.

Candidate profile

  • Strong programming fundamentals and evidence that you can build useful software. Personal projects, open-source contributions, research, and professional work are all relevant.
  • The ability to explain your code, reason about trade-offs, and debug problems systematically.
  • Experience taking a feature or project beyond a prototype, including testing, handling failures, and responding to user feedback.
  • A thoughtful approach to AI coding tools. You can identify incorrect assumptions and explain how you verify generated code.
  • Initiative, clear communication, and care for reliability, usability, and the handling of sensitive information.

Healthcare software experience is welcome. You should be willing to learn how hospital teams work and understand the consequences of engineering decisions for their daily operations.
